William Bailey, CSI

Mr. Bailey, a co-founding partner, holds a Bachelor of Architecture in Design from the University of Illinois/ Chicago and studied at Universite' de Architecture, Versailles, France.  He has over 19 years of experience in all phases of programming, design and construction of healthcare/senior care, life science, laboratory design, pharmaceutical / biotech, pilot plants, business incubators, industrial, corporate, financial, aviation, and educational facilities. He specializes in master planning, financial feasibility, design, planning, and project management, preparation of detailed construction documents and specifications, evaluation of contracts and development of facilities management procedures.  Professional affiliations include Illinois Association of Homes for the Aging, Illinois American Hospital Association, National Business Incubators Association (NBIA), Labs for the 21st Century High Performance, Illinois Biotech organization (IBIO), The Construction Specification Institute (CSI) and State Science and Technology Institute (SSTI).

William S. Hartzell, MBA
Vice President
Mr. Hartzell holds an MBA in Operation Management from Illinois Benedictine College, and a BS in Industrial Technology from Western Illinois University.  He has over 23 years experience in laboratory and manufacturing process design and industrial engineering with a strong background in manufacturing planning, automation from concept through commissioning, and in new product development from initial designs to manufacturing approval and testing.  He directs the program management and engineering efforts for projects in business and technology incubators, life science, laboratory design, healthcare, technology manufacturing, process design, financial facilities and industrial engineering. Other responsibilities include master planning, financial feasibility planning and project management.  His professional affiliations include National Business Incubators Association (NBIA), State Science and Technology Institute (SSTI), Illinois Biotech organization (IBIO), Labs for the 21st Century High Performance, and Illinois Manufacturing Association (IMA).

Mel Janczak, ALA, NCARB
President
Mr. Janczak, a co-founding partner, holds a BS from Chicago Technical College and is licensed in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, and Wisconsin. He has over 22 years of broad experience in all phases of design, engineering and construction of financial, healthcare, life science, industrial, corporate, laboratory design aquatic and educational facilities. His areas of expertise include feasibility studies, engineering, planning, preparation of detailed construction documents and specifications, evaluation of bids, and observation of construction.   His professional affiliations include National Council of Architectural Registration Boards, American Licensed Architects, American Society of Healthcare Engineers, The Construction Specification Institute (CSI), National Business Incubators Association (NBIA), and State Science and Technology Institute (SSTI).
